General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemedti, has made Sudanese youth a strategic pillar of his political project. The objective is to give young people the means to produce, transform and innovate on their own soil, as the only sustainable response to unemployment and the feeling of abandonment that have long weakened the national fabric.
Local initiatives, such as those supported by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund, are already showing the commitment of young people to conflict mediation and social cohesion.
Trained “peace ambassadors” organize awareness-raising sessions, testifying to the ability of young people to play an active role in national reconciliation, even in times of war.
By sealing this alliance between political will and the creative energy of young people, Hemedti intends to lay the foundations of a sovereign, ambitious and modern Sudan.
It proves that progress-oriented governance is possible when it is based on the most dynamic component of the population.
National renewal, according to this vision, will not be built on the conservatism of past habits, but on the ability to mobilize all the living forces around a great project for the future.
