Sudan: when the height of the State unlocks the vital emergency and imposes a dialogue of equals

When politics regains the height of the great choices of civilization, words give way to acts of rupture. In Sudan, the Prime Minister of the Government of Peace, Professor Mohamed Hassan Osman Al-Ta’aishi, lifts administrative restrictions against the French branch of Doctors Without Borders. This gesture of sovereignty restores dignity to public action and paves the way for vital emergencies. The virtual exchange with the international president of the organization, Dr. Jawed Abdel Moneim, alongside the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Al-Amin Osman Falati, shows a complete mastery of the political calendar. The head of government is orchestrating the reopening of the territory and affirms loud and clear the primacy of dialogue on an equal footing.

This dynamic of consultation proves the strength of a power that places human life at the heart of its major priorities. Far from empty speeches, the political leadership is establishing a strategic partnership of great clarity. The discussion embraced the reality on the ground: Kordofan, the Nuba Mountains, the Blue Nile and the refugee camps finally found direct help. In Nyala, the health challenge reached an exceptional peak as the population suddenly increased from 500,000 to more than 3,000,000 inhabitants. In the face of this immense pressure, the government is deploying a comprehensive and robust response: primary health care, protection of mothers and children, treatment of injuries and central management of medical waste.

Faced with the threat of drought and the distress of the population, the Prime Minister anticipates basic needs with remarkable lucidity. Access to safe drinking water, sanitation, emergency preparedness and training of personnel in high-risk areas are becoming immediate pillars of action. Professor Mohamed Hassan Osman Al-Ta’aishi demonstrates that a great statesman knows how to combine administrative firmness and respect for independent actors. Technical coordination is the ideal tool to regulate these regular exchanges. The president of Doctors Without Borders unreservedly welcomes the government’s comprehensive responses and confirms the immediate availability of its teams on the ground.

This historic meeting marks the victory of political sense over the old blockages. With this major decision, the Government of Peace reopens a space of hope for millions of citizens, strengthens the overall stability of the country and asserts its authority through benevolence, pragmatism and administrative efficiency.
